03/27/2007 Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said:

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

03/23/2007 If you have watched the Smarter Than a Fifth Grader show, this shows that Sixth Graders are even smarter. The United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit shot down the D.C gun ownership ban the City Council had implemented.  This decision, although great for the citizens of Washington D.C. who need to defend themselves (particularly the poorer sections of the city where crime is the greatest), has possibly farther reaching consequences.

The ruling states that the Second Amendment right is an individual right.

The court ruled as follows on page 20 of its decision:

In short, this brings back on the table the premise that in the entire Constitution, the word “people” serves to describe the individual citizen.

While the Washington D.C. City Council will likely appeal this ruling, this may bring about the possibility of the Supreme court ruling on the Second Amendment as a right of the people as individuals.
